On June 22, 2010, the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to place on the November 2010 ballot a measure that would allow Douglas County voters the opportunity to decide whether to ban new medical marijuana dispensaries from opening in Douglas County.
Come to the July 22nd meeting of the Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree Democrats to learn more about this 2010 Ballot Item. Persons invited to speak include Jill Repella, Republican Douglas County Commissioner for Highlands Ranch; Democrat Colorado State Senator Chris Romer, author of two new state laws regarding medical marijuana; and “Republican Mom for Marijuana” Jessica Corry, an attorney who believes the resolution is unconstitutional.
Meetings are held at the Highlands Ranch Library, 9292 S Ridgeline Blvd at 7:00 PM. |
