What the Frack?

The next meeting of the Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree/Roxborough Democrats will be 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 21st, at the Highlands Ranch Library.  Our topic will be “What the Frack?”  We will be discussing the oil and gas well completion technique known as hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking”.  Our guest speaker will be Dr. Charlie Montgomery, PhD, Energy Organizer for the Colorado Environmental Coalition.  Come learn why “fracking” has been in the news so much lately!  See you there!

 
Pulling for Colorado!!!

Participate wiith the Douglas County Democrats and Douglas County Open Space to help eliminate noxious weeds from Douglas County's precious open space lands!  "Pulling for Colorado" is a state-wide effort to educate folks about noxious weeds and to encourage folks to do something about them!  Meet us this Saturday, July 9th, from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm, at Douglas County Open Space's Prairie Canyon Ranch, located 6 1/2 miles south of Franktown, on the east side of State Highway 83.  For more information, contact Mac McAvenia, Castle Rock District Captain for the Douglas County Democrats, at 720-328-1119 or 303-217-0999.  Meet new Dems!!  Make new friends!!  Pull some weeds!!!!
